New here, but not to forums. I'm swapping a ebay motor (k24a4 03 accord) into my sand rail and wanted to know which engine harness to get for simplicity? donor vehicles? I will modify the harness as needed to run the motor to/from the engine and ecm. I purchased a ecm from canada out of a 03 m/t 2.4l accord(part# 37820RAAA21) , I know I have the immobilizer to figure out but don't want to spend the cash on a stand alone ecm(yet). Trying to keep this project as low cost as I can for now.
Ive read that the rsx type s is perfered but why not the stock accord engine harness?
The engine will be paired with a old school vw bus trans (absolutely no sensors or electronics).here is a pick of the Buggy and trans, the motor should be here in about a week.

Could I effectively run this engine with the stock m/t ecu(immobilizer bypassed) and the stock engine harness?
Eventually I will get a hondata or aem standalone ecu. All help appreciated, thank you in advanced.

Anyone? It does not have to pass any inspections(it is an off highway only vehicle), if this helps. all I'm asking is about is the engine harness and ecu. And if I it will run decently after the immobilizer bypass on a stock m/t ecu (til I upgrade to a stand alone ecu).absolutely no tranny wires will be hooked up.any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the late response:

As long as you stick to the same year make and model for your engine and engine harness/ecu you should be good.

I would suggest 02-04 stuff and we can set you up with a universal conversion harness (http://www.hybrid-racing.com/store/hybrid-racing-conversion-race-harness-for-k-series-engines.html) and an immobilizer delete box (http://www.hybrid-racing.com/store/hybrid-racing-2002-2004-k-series-honda-ecu-immobilizer-delete-chip.html) at a great price.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,

Will
