Well this is a short sum up of my 2+ year build up on my 97 ej7 coupe! No bolt left untouched! And some awesome names in the industry helping out with the car as well :) Hybrid-racing, Chasebays, Skunk 2, Royal Purple, Comp clutch, Suja1, Drive Shaft Shop, and Weksos.

as far as motor plans it will be a stock k20a2 with bolt on's and kpro for IA this year...with a freshly rebuilt k20z3 trans and stage 2 comp clutch kit and flywheel. Future plans are either the kraftwerks kit for it or a nice n/a build with some itb's or something...still up in the air..but for now just getting the car rolling :)

got the rbc back last week...shaved off the stuff I didn't need, had the flange cut to fit, and had it media blasted....gonna paint it to match the motor.

So as I said we dropped the car off monday...and finished the prep work. Had to wait till wednesday to spray...got there at like 3 and started getting her ready. Tim and chris were there soon after...as well as burr a little later on so we had plenty of helping hands for taping everything off

I was pretty nervous with the car outside while I was in the movie..but it was all good :) I was way too excited to have the car at a meet...lol...i was shaking when we pulled up in the truck haha...can't wait to finish.

First of all..I have to thank Tim for coming to the rescue and painting this thing...can't thank him enough for it...car came out amazinggggggg...so happy with this color...it looks nutssss in the sun...can't describe it. so yeah even though I'm not the biggest fan of two tone bays I end up with one haha...I really don't mind it too much since the colors are similar...we just decided to keep the interior and bay sprayed the mistake color that the paint shop mixed up :P haha works for me...and heres some shots of the motor...all painted, new hardware, new water pump, water pump housing, timing chain cover, alternator, shaved RBC mani....still debating what I wanna do with it to finish it. Motor is ready to go in whenever the mounts show up.

Ignore the subframe and rack in the bay...and hood latch.....just all temp stuff while it was getting painted. Goes on jack stands tomorrow and all the suspension comes out for all new suja 1 bushings, powder coat ect...manual rack going in...and other goodies :)

Wetsanded the car back down..clearin the body tomorrow. Story behind this is just us being last minute and not laying enough clear down at the booth...so Dave who I'm having wet sand and buff wants to re-clear it so he doesn't burn through to the paint...car should be done by friday/early saturday thats including the wetsand and buff....gonna be bling bling status =) thanks again dave! :bang: just in time for the big 4th o jolly bonfire bash at the house :thumbup:

Sorry its been so long....been way busy after IA and since getting laid off been busting my ass to get Track.One launched....stay tuned for more we have a ton going on :)

The car ended up getting shot for super street after the show so keep your eyes out for the november super street!! I'm so stoked after 3 years of building this thing...my dream come true. I couldn't have done it without hybrid racing and the rest of my sponsors..thanks again guys! I can't wait to get my shifter box and cables!! :)

So I finally got the car running and driving for the IA fall meet this past weekend...had a blasttttt. It's been 3 years since the car has been on the road and it felt good to cruise around with my friends. Too bad the car was open header....my ears hurttt...had to wear ear plugs driving it...but o well...exhaust is about to go on =)
